Bed Bug Treatment
Bed bugs can happen to anyone. It has nothing to do with poor or good hygiene. The most common source of bed bugs is a stay in a hotel with a plague. Bed bugs can also enter your home through clothing or furniture. Bedbugs or their eggs end up in suitcases, clothing or furniture and are taken home with them.
If you notice any signs of bed bugs while staying in a hotel, especially if you get bitten or see blood droplets on the sheets, be very careful when taking your personal belongings back home. Consult with hotel management to determine the risk – you may need to wash your clothes or give it another treatment to ensure that you can take them home bed-free.
The same applies to (second-hand) furniture that you purchase. In the event that there is a risk of bedbugs, we can treat your furniture before you place it in your house. It can take weeks to months before you discover a bed bug. Bedbugs are well hidden, so that only insect bites betray that you may be dealing with bedbugs.
If you suspect that you have a bed bug in the house, do not spread it further by taking clothing, suitcases or furniture to hotels or houses of friends or family. Also try to spread the plague in the house as little as possible, by not moving furniture in the contaminated room to other rooms in the house. Also make sure that, if you have vacuumed, throw the vacuum cleaner bag directly outside in a closed waste bin. Bed bugs do not always die in the vacuum cleaner. Bed bugs can also move to adjacent homes through cavities in the walls or floors. If you suffer from bed bugs in the house and you live in a flat or a terraced house, think of your neighbors and respond immediately.
